A VISION STATEMENT

for the

Kenya Street Children Mission Project

We, the Lakeside Mission Group for the Kenya Street Children Project, hereby adopt the following vision statement to guide our efforts on this project until God sends us in a different direction.

                         We see ourselves partnering with sisters and brothers in Christ in Kenya to give faith, hope and love in the Way of Jesus Christ to Kenya children who have found themselves abandoned to the streets. Our understandings and actions will be based on the “Foundation for a Vision Statement” dated June 5, 2008, which is attached to this document. That “Foundation” asks the question what the Kingdom of God would look like for Kenya Street Children. It is nothing less than God’s Kingdom that is our goal to strive for and further in all these activities. Our prayers and progress will be measured by the concrete actions we take with our Kenyan partners and the concrete results in the lives of the children we seek to help, which will be the results which God intends and makes possible through our efforts. In all that we do, may it be always to the honor and glory of God.
