Network Ministries

Lakeside Mission for Network Ministries... Please deposit donations in the basket in the reception area of the church offices. Items currently needed are: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, feminine hygiene products and one size fits all socks. Thank you for your generous donations.

Lakeside Youth Groups

Lakeside Youth Group meets on Saturdays from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The Youth Group is open to all young people in Jr. High and High School. Youth Group will be a time for games and fellowship as well as a time to come closer to God. Dinner will be provided. For more information, please see Will Robison at LanzFranco@aol.com. Ladies and Gents

The “Ladies and Gents” of Lakeside meet on the second Thursday of each month. All are welcome. Please bring a sandwich. Beverage & dessert will be provided. The dessert is provided by Alice Brosch and Ruth Hill. Cost is $2.00. Please call Alice Brosch at 415 ~ 586-8394 for reservations.

Welcome our new Director of Christian Education

PLEASE WELCOME our new, part-time Director of Christian Education and Family Ministry, Rev. J.D.Ward. In brief -- a longer article will appear shortly in the Lantern -- JD has a dedicated background and experience in Christian ministry and mission, especially among youth and adults. This has been both inside the church and in organizations outside it. He has developed and implemented curriculum in education toward transformational ministry, to help individuals better understand and act to fulfill Christ’s message for their lives as Christians. JD began work at Lakeside almost immediately the week following his hiring on Sunday, August 5. His MDIV degree is from Fuller Theological Seminary, in Pasadena. He lives in East Palo Alto.

Bible Study Classes

Join Pastor Kim’s Bible Study Class. On Wednesdays, at 9:30 am in the Fireside Room, he leads an in-depth study of the scriptures to be used in worship the following Sunday. This study is open to members and non-members alike. Childcare is offered but reservations are required. For more info, please call the Church office at 415.564.8833.

Graham Cracker Fairy

We continue to collect graham crackers for the children of Jose Ortega school in SF. Please drop off your graham crackers at Lakeside Presbyterian Church front office. For more information, call Dvorah at 415-337-6057.

The Jose Ortega Elementary School “After School Enrichment” program continues. Volunteers are needed to help the students with their homework. They meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30pm to 4:00pm, throughout the school year at Jose Ortega.
