The Presbyterian Church is a representative democracy governed by elders elected from and by the congregation. Authority in the Presbyterian Church resides with the duly elected representatives of the congregation in the appointed church governing bodies. Lakeside Presbyterian Church is governed by the Session.
The Session
The Session meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 PM in the Fireside Room. Every Session meeting is open to all visitors. The Session Committees are: Budget and Finance, Building and Grounds, Children's Center, Christian Education, Evangelism and Care, Mission, Personnel, Planning, Stewardship, and Worship and Music. The Deacons
The Deacons are an elected organization of church elders whose ministry is the care and well-being of all God's people in and around Lakeside Presbyterian Church. They meet once a month in the social hall after church on Sundays. Their ministries include: Congregational Concerns, Prayer Chain, Flowers, Hospitality, Communion Preparation, and the TLC Group.
